Update from Pastor Berlin Guerrero - Greetings sent in December 2008
Dearest Kin and Friends, Far and Near! Warmest Greetings of Christ's Peace and Love! We continue to rejoice in God's abiding love and grace as shown by God's continuing blessing and mighty works! Indeed there is always a reason to rejoice and we share to you the peace and gladness brought about by Pastor Berlin's release from jail and the dismissal of the court case with finality. Despite security risks and limitations in mobility, he manages to visit the jail weekly with the assistance of other church workers and missionaries. As he shares about his prison experience, he challenges other church workers and lay to do prison ministry. Now, the prison ministry experience is being transformed into one of the UCCP's community ministries. In November, he was privileged to represent UCCP at the International Prison Chaplains Association (IPCA) Meeting in Manila.. He will be finishing his bachelor of theology course on March 2008 at the Union theological Seminary (UTS).... ....Some things have changed and some things remain. We are wounded by untoward incidents but we thank God for keeping us as a family that stays and serves together. We continue to pray that these wounds would heal even as we pray that the wounds of our nation be healed. Let our hope in the God Incarnate and resolve in bringing fruition to the ministry which Jesus Christ initiated, and the comfort and guidance of the Holy Spirit abide with us always. Yours, Pastor Berlin Guerrero & Family
