Naomi Duke, Community minister at Paralowie UC, mother of 4 and MOW candidate at the ACD, has long had a love for Korea and Koreans.During October and November 2008, Naomi was the guest of the PROK partner church in South Korea. Here are some of her travel tips and “survival Korean” language phrases: Don't give people a hug unless they hug you first. Lay chopsticks on table, don't put them in your bowl. Don't blow your nose at the table. It might be worthwhile taking a small bottle of hand wash /sanitising gel as many public toilets don't have soap. Take a couple of packets of travel tissues with you that can double up as toilet paper. Toilet paper goes in the bin next to the toilet. If you drink coffee or tea you may want to bring some of your own as many people do not drink it. In Korea the number 4 is often not used. Don't write your name in red. Churches have a 5am, Wednesday night and Sunday services Survival Korean, written as it is pronouncedHello - Ahn-nyong-huh-say-yo
