On this page you will find ideas for involving children in the mission work of the church, both at home and overseas. Research shows that being involved in the practical mission work of the church helps give children a purpose for their faith. Children who are meaningfully involved in the mission work of the church from a young age tend to still be involved as adults. The projects on this page are intended to model how you can involve children, and give you a starting point and ideas. The projects supported and promoted are endorsed by the Uniting Church's International Mission arm, Uniting International Mission, and are developed in cooperation with UIM's International Mission Officers in the SA UCA Office. The first KUCA News Mission Project for 2009 supports the Indigenous Sunday School and Youth project at Oodnadatta, in SA. it is part of the SA Lenten Appeal for 2009. Here is some information about the project, and two ideas for collecting money.
In 2008 KUCA Newssupported the Kalparrin Indigenous Sunday School project during Lent. |
