The Westbourne Park Uniting Church, under the leadership of Rev Judi Hartwig, offered the service Beyond the Chrysanthemum for mothers (and others) who have suffered the  loss of a child. Mothers’ Day can be a very hard experience in such circumstances, and such a litany can provide comfort and support. It was held on the Saturday evening, a week before Mothers’ Day, and had a number of counsellors, with expertise in this area, present for those who wanted to talk to someone afterwards.
